New season

Training has begun for the canoeing team. We've seen lots of action from them in this blog. Let's all wish them a good season this year.

On a different note, one of my visitors, Istvan has taken the liberty to find more info. on these statues. His friend helped to confirm the background and existence of the 'pick and shovel men' (kubikusok). To those who are interested, you can now read about it at the sidebar. (<<) .

Feedback/assistance such as this definitely makes maintaining this blog more worth while. Köszönöm Szépen Istvan and Andras!

Thanks for the additional information on the statues. Canoes are wonderful leisure fun. Haven't been on the MIssissippi on ours for a long time now since it's gotten heavier and heavier as we have been aging!!

kate,
you can have one canoe each, then ;)

richard,
from what i can see here, i think it is possible to stand. Will need our resident canoe expert, Kala to verify that!

Keropok,
put at your own risk..hehe

Thank you all for your visits! :)
