Best wishes

July 24th was their 5th Anniversary! I have no idea why this photo has been sitting in my archive for this long...
Anyway, that was my first sighting of newly weds on carriage ride and I understand that this is a tradition of the Roma people.

Graduation

-one of the display at bank's window-

Many shops' windows (even banks') are displaying boards of photos of graduating secondary (High) school students and their teachers. Each class will have their own design. Not all have put up their creations yet, so I've not decided which I like best. When I first knew about this tradition, I thought its a competition of some sort which is not . Hmmm..back in my school days, we have a year book instead.. What about your town /city /country ?

Cultural Traditions - Easter

*Greek Orthodox Church*

In Hungary, Easter is celebrated on Sunday and Monday. Sunday is reserved for religious worship while Monday for cultural traditions. As my partner and I are not religious people, we intend to spend today with his family and at the same time perform the cultural part of the celebration. Upon arrival, the males will sprinkle perfume, cologne or water to females around them , in exchange for some coloured eggs or chocolate eggs.
If you want to know the reasons behind the tradition, see here :)

to those who celebrates Easter :-

HAPPY SUNDAY!

Busó Festival

Last year I missed the Busó (pronounce Busho) festival..probably because I wasnt into photography then :p ..so, this is my first photo about Busó , taken last February ..these guys are the Slovenian Busó (pronounce Busho) performers ..Love the smile :)

A little bit about the festival :-
"The Busó festivities is a tradition stemming from a few thousand-year-old nature-praising belief system..a celebration of farewell to Winter, a welcome of Spring, the renewal of nature, birth, and the progeny of cattle. It is partly the promise of love, embrace, lust, growing up, becoming a man, belief in the future, happiness, friendship, and the will to live ."
