Anticipation

Months after I blogged about the Petőfi building, I learnt that finally the town hall has won the long legal case in gaining the rights to restore & develope it into a hotel again. Work is scheduled to begin next year; hence, I took this "before" photo and fingers crossed that SzentesDP will survive to report the completion in 2008!

the building looks great and i can only imagine how would hotel look like, probably very luxurious.

i can't see DP still going on in 2008, that's really long way away, but that would be marvellous and a big achievement for the whole DP family =)

love your photo editing.

Hi Kris ,

I am just anxious to see the lifting of the hotel!
I hope that the style of architecture will be the same...

I checked your other picture of the building, too, and in both you managed to show the architecture in a way that displays the possibilities. It should be a grand hotel when finished. Better than tearing it down!

Oh what a sad thing if DP family is not living and kicking on 2008.. I have just been planning how I really am gonna have time with this little hobby when retairing at 2046 or something..

mmmm anyway, good that they are fixing that beauty one. Old buildings has much more caracter than new ones. I would love to come in to that hotel.

I love it when beautiful old buildings are saved and restored. But these photos in its present condition are pretty interesting, too. It'll be interesting to see it when it's restored.
