Real horse power
It's not a common sight, but I recognise the couple and am lucky to catch them on their horse carriage, this time. They're probably out of towner in town for some groceries shopping or deliver their crops. Whatever it is, seeing them is like turning back time...

WOW! What a NEAT shot Kris! Love the coloration you did on it...and the framing is just perfect! Best in show! :-) Love your blog format too...isn't it fairly new?
it is so goooood to see that horse driven cart is still used...first, why not if you get the time, and like shadrach said, it must be quite enjoyable and secondly it doesn't pollute anything...
Kris, do they really get around that way, it's not just to recreate the olden days? Amazing!
Nice, the original SUV!
I like the way you are sneaking the blog name in the pictures!
Great shot Kris! Agree with Ame the framing is perfect!
This horse carriage reminds me of TV film series 'Little House on the Praire'. Lovely shot Kris!
Nicely done, gives a real insight into the little town in Hungary and it's history.
john : i'm trying hard to dig out more photos to represent this little town ;)
tanty : "little house on the prairie" was one of my all time fave. but i think this couple is more advance :)
jugger : hahahah..right, right! the most economical suv!
jenny : they do! and whenever they're around, people stopped to admire their choice of transport. its cool
lisi : i should try the tour around town in one of those..hmmm, i must, one day
ame : liking your new profile pix. still cant believe you have a 18 y.o. boy going to colleage , man!
Thank u all for visiting :)
very nice shot! These carriages are pretty comon on the roads of Romania even nowdays. I find them somehow nice and still practical.
That is so great! I guess they had no problem on the Int'l carfree day!
zsolt,
i believe so as well plus theres no harm to the environment. However, i think effiency won over practicality :)
Felicia,
