Everytime I pass this building, i ask myself "Why is it not being restored ?" It's really sad and waste to abandon such an architectural beauty . This 107 year-old building was formerly a hotel. Currently only the theatre house is still in operation. Hopefully the owner would do something about it ,soon !

Yes it seems to be a place with a lot of style and could be used for a lot of things. These places ought to be protected by the government and not be owned by privateers, at least if they don´t care. Nice picture.
carlos : yes, the local government is "talking" to the owner...for years now ..
Nice shot under the umbrella: I'm sure it won't be long before it is restored. Sooner or later the owners or council will realise the asset they're sitting on.
Nice building! Ashame they haven't renovated!
bob , rodney and menggarang ...fingers crossed ;)
nice building - let's start an international petition to save it!
there is something magical and mysterious about old buildings. And this one looks beautiful. It's only time until someone does something about it.
Here in malaysia, no such thing. They'll just tear it down. The past few years have seen some of the most historical and beautiful buildings torn down. Our old airport, which was an award-winning structure, is now a flat piece of ground.
Count yourself lucky that your have a heritage council (I hope)
