#336 - Flowers' "job"

The photo documents a random street scene and reminded me of Abe's (Brookville DP) post on Life and death.

In the foreground is a long row of live flowers decorating the front office of a bank. They are free to grow and wilt according to nature's clock. They may possibily make some random passer- bys smile.

In contrast, the hive of activity you see in the background are road side flowers sellers doing breezy business on Mother's day (yesterday). These flowers may be restricted into vases in the end but they still give a smile to receipients..

whichever side you support, I wish you a great week ahead :)

Wonderful flowers and it draws your eye to the girl on the bike and the other people.

The flowers look really nice. I think you should have waited until that lady went past though, photographs of people's back are against the international photographer's convention, didn't you know that???

Have a good week!

Mine eyes hath seen the glory of the bicycle amid the confusion of flower stalls and sellers of dead things. Laughing.

Thank you Kris for the mention. I hope you appreciate some of my other photos as well. Laughing again.

I like your photograph and wonder how you happened to snap it just when you did?

Interesting. And the post narrative is good too.

I am not sure if you got there or not but if you did, thank you for visiting my blog yesterday and for your comments about my Rose-Breasted Grosbeak. I am into architecture today with the Brookville Community Theatre.

no reason not to have the best of both sides -- some flowers are grown to be picked, others to bloom and die where they grow.

abe,
you're welcome!
i've replaced the photo due to Jonemo mentioned that it is offending some rules of photographer (glad to leanr that!) ..anyway, i actually planned to take some macros of the flowers but couldnt resist playing with the depth to emphasize on the b/ground instead.

mandy,
totally with you on this :)

Thannk you all for your kind comments!
