A big Thank You to all performers who entertained us through out the May day celebrations (Apr29-May1)! We had special concert from various musicians/artists including brass band from Katowice, Poland. Our very own brass band gave me goose bumps (the good kind) ..can't explain why? I just feel proud seeing them marching down the main street on lantern night playing wonderful tunes. Not forgetting, I salute my belly dancing mates for enduring the chilly evening weather, performing a wonderful 30mins. routine for all of us :)

I love this picture of the saxophonist. The red plume is wonderful -- as his expression and raised hands. But my favorite part is the depth of field. :)
Grrrhhh...looking at the audience, I really don't want to think about the temperature they performed in! Well a happy May day celebration to you too :)
tanty, stumbled upon this broswer at another blog. Simply click on the "Info" button, that will activate and ask for your account name at flickr. Follow the easy steps from there.
Hey, another good post, Kris. The saxophonist is perhaps the best of the bunch. There is an impressionist paining feel to it. Nice contrast between the richly colored blurry background and the sharp focus of appreciation on the sax player’s face.
Thanks for the nudge: am considering putting up some random photos at one point, but can't commit to daily updates ;)
(Oh, BTW, I was chatting with my Mom on MSN - she is in her late 80s, speaks no English, yet now she drops in once in a while to check out your posts - she, too, does like the image of the old corner house on Toth Jozsef utca, the one with focal B&W.)
Istvan, my my , your mom is impressive. My mom is in her 50s and havent used the computer in her life, what more msn!
Posting daily is a huge commitment, the founder of this community have done it for 2 years, cant imagine myself doing it that long tho. On the upside, I'm learning a lot on the town and that's rewarding :)

Oh, but you have an expert eye. And, I also appreciate the help you willingly give when bloggers ask for assistance. Don't ever leave the list!! PS. The joy I see in the photo is very compelling.
