What a girl wants....

outside the entrance of county hall..

Whatever happened to throwing rice at newly weds? Are these heart-shaped confetti the "in" thing now? I'm so out of touch..well, I guess majority of brides do dream of fairy tale wedding.

very interesting shot.

i guess i'm not a fairy tale wedding type, at this moment in life i don't even wanna get married - u work it out =)

confetti are fun - when i was in venice in february they were all over the city for the venice carnival - the streets looked like they came out of a fairytale =)

Looks like someone's heart got tossed aside

it may have to do with the fact that in some places it has become forbidden to throw rice.
It was a burden to clean everything before the next newly weds would get their package of rice thrown and animals would find the last rice thingies.
Now that i see the hearts creep between the stones, i wonder if they are any easier to clean up though.

ps; i am getting dizzy from the 2 pictures of today and yesterday :)

dutchie : i read about that its harmful to birds . Yes, its a mess to clean up. These arent exactly easier either!

photowannabe : exactly..sad in some ways..

I LOVE this shot.
For awhile folks started throwing birdseed because it was less slippery (folks were falling from slipping on rice) and the birds would eat what didn't get swept up. Now I see confetti a lot, release of butterflys, even for the really obsessed-with-perfect-wedding-planning-and -I-have-too-much-money-and-no-sense sort of bride. :-)

kim,
you raise a good point, its boils down to the bride!! butterflies seem like a pretty good idea; however, its really wasting the workmanship by throwing then swept it away :D
