Siesta ended

Recognise the man in red? You might remember him from my post on election campaign some months back. Yes, that's the mayor doing his "thing", joining about 100 others in Lecsó cooking competition yesterday. You may sample any participants' cooking by bringing along a container and you'll be served together with fresh bread..yum!

Lecsó (Lecho) = paprika & tomato stew

FYI i've recently migrated to blogger beta version and the system doesnt allow commenting on non-beta blogs (which is driving me nuts!) ThereforE, I wont be able to comment for time being on the non-beta blogs, if your setting doesnt allow "other" or "anonymous" commenting . On the same basis, I think some of you may not be able to comment on mine. However, you may choose to comment under the "other" category ..either way, I thank you for visiting.

The Mayor of Melbourne, John So, Is also out and about all the time. He is so very popular, some due to his great publicity, some due to his funny accent. He is asian and trips over some words. We laugh at him in a good way.. he's a great personality!

Yummy, Hungarian cuisine is famous for being hot which is my kind of food.

It has been my experence that a politician who serves food at festivals is normally re-elected.

I absolutely LOVE this food festival idea! It looks like such fun. It also looks like the mayor is wearing boxers, but whatever! lol I like how you've caught the movement, the excitement.. and the smoke from the cooking. I can almost feel/hear the hustle &bustle. now, if I could only taste that bread! nice shot!
