Darling, here's a cookie.. we're engaged!

According to folklore, those days the heart-shaped honey cookies were given to lovers as a symbol of their engagement. Yours truly has one in the display unit ...but as a food lover, I just wanna grab a bite :p
The lovely cookies were baked and decorated by local artist, Mrs. István Kovács. She is also well known for her furniture paintings and souvenir craft. See her exquisite work in extra.

This confirms everything! Love is a biscuit that crumbles with the first bite! Yet, it tastes wonderful! I can't wait to see what nutcase Ame has to say about this shot :)

Wow! What lovely works of art these cookies are, and what a sweet token for an engagement. They look like lace, and they make me hungry for a cookie, actually! Lovely blog - the photo of the couple on the horse-drawn wagon is thoroughly charming, too.

So, should we say, "Congratulations on your engagement!" ???

Now here's an important question: if you're given it as an engagement present, are you ever allowed to eat it, ever?

Those cookies are amazing looking! Not only do I want to eat them, I love the patterns which would be great as textile patterns too. Maybe embroidery?
