The place no one wants to be

This is the building where you'll never want any business/association with. The last time I was at a court was due to a traffic offence which wasn't even my fault (everyone says that!), was alone and wasn't sure how I should behave..that's one unforgetable experience :p

Our humble court house (est.1912) covers the legal framework of the town and 10 other surrounding areas with 3 civil judges and 1 criminal judge. Usually the place is pretty deserted, which is a good sign, I suppose

Happy weekend everyone!

The building looks old and solid. Good place for good legal work. Good place to be when one needs protection, tho!!

Kate,
totally agree with u kate.
well, you wouldn't want to be in need of protection in the first place :)

I looks like a strong building. It could also look like a lot of people work in offices behind all the windows. Your depth of field is good. You must have a fast lens.

Thank you, Kris, for visiting my blog.

I like the mystery "aura" that you transmit with this photo. It looks like a place that I don't want to know. Happy Weekend too.

Yes, these same feelings are expressed in the US. People want the protection of the law and hope they are never directly evolved with law enforcement ... One very happy memory I have of my home town court house was 36 years ago when Connie and I went to the court house to get an marriage license.

This is a stunning shot - really well-captured. I love the angle - did you get cold lying in the grass? :)

That kind of place can make anyone feel small. You reflect the grass-root's perspective very well… :) Surprisingly optimistic colors, given the topic!

denton,
if its for marriage, then i'm all for it ..hahah. Over here, we have a separate office for registration of marriage :)

Kerry-anne,
the weather on the day of photo was fine but i did laid a piece of plastic bag on the grass to avoid muddy trousers later ;)

Per stromsjo / Dijah,
FYI, the colors have been enhanced with Lomo!

Thanks all for stopping by! :)

Beautiful building, even if not necessarily filled with good memories for you!

I like this building, too. Not your usual stern and cold looking courthouse ;-)
