"What was hard to bear is sweet to remember." I woke up to find the above comment for this photo on my flickr page, I think the quote suited the shot perfectly. Don't you think?
Its nice being "philosophical" and all but I must get back to the topic for today ;) This man, me and many others rely on the local buses to get around town. For that, me and on behalf of others are thankful that our local bus system (4 lines altogether) run efficiently bring us to our local destinations within 18 minutes.

i think even the old local shanghainese cant tell you how many bus lines in this city. And within 18 mins....the bus just leave the station.

Yes, that is a good quote for this photograph. They fit together like a hand in a glove.
Very nice picture. Just wanted to let you know that on your page the DCP links dont seem to work, I am talking about "Europe, Asia, North America" and so on below the search box on the left of your page.
yeah, nice one. Is that condensation inside the window or rain outside?
A very nice, peacful image.
kind of mysterious ...
haven't ridden a bus for a while now ... am sure they, too, bring us to our destinations after a time .. though i can't say much about the safety part! lol...
in fairness, though, some bus drivers are conscientious...
What a shot! Yes, the quote suits is perfectly.
ahhh the little things in life that makes all the difference in this world - the photo is superb as it always is and I enjoy reading it!
jonemo,
thanks for reporting the issue. With Gerald's help (Hype DP) , the problem has been addressed :)
Jing,
yes the quote is a keeper for me :)
maiylah,
those days before knowing how to drive, i needed at least 2 hours bus ride (incl. waiting time) to reach destination, ..imagine to keep appointment with such crazy timing. So,safety was the least on my mind..LOL
Mark,
it was rain.
Thank you all for your visits :)
Beautiful picture & thought. Wow just 18 minutes? Here, there are people who spent 5 hours a day on cars, or buses, or metro, etc., to go to school or work and back home, every day.
carraol,
we're a tiny town. Plus the buses arrived on time :) Thanks for stopping by!
