First blossoms

Look what I found yesterday?
My first cherry blossom for the season..what a beauty!

I consider myself extremely lucky as "the trees bloom for not much longer than a week, and are seen in their full glory for only a couple of days. "

On this special occasion, I'll share one of the 2007 Honourable Mention Haiku
being lost
among cherry blossoms—
white butterfly

Yes Spring it seems is arrived here too. Unfortunately we didn't have a decent Winter by the way these sceneries are wonderul.

Kris, you are an artist,:p I am really sure about that. For I am sure i saw this blossom flowers in the daily life...but it was never so beautiful as it in your eyes.

Every year at this time, and when I see an image like this, I am reminded of A E Housemans poem, The Cherry Tree.

Loveliest of trees, the cherry now
Is hung with bloom along the bough,
And stands about the woodland ride
Wearing white for Eastertide.

Now of my threescore years and ten,
Twenty will not come again,
And take from seventy springs a score,
It only leaves me fifty more.
And since to look at things in bloom
Fifty springs are little room,
About the woodlands I will go
To see the cherry hung with snow.
