Taking a break

So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, goodbye
I leave and heave a sigh and say goodbye -- Goodbye!

Good bye temporarily, at least..I'll make a "come back" when enough material is collected to continue this site. Meanwhile, a big thanks to all of you for your support. I've enjoyed the experience immensely. Of course, I'd still drop by your sites as and when possible :)

Its really sad you leave Kris. You know I take your DP as a sort of sister-site of mine Budapest one. Your enthusiasm and your creativity gave me a lot since the very first moment. Anyway I hope you will be back after your deserved break:)

I always love your photos, Kris. Of course I understand! If you're like me, you'll enjoy the easy pace of taking photos when you want. It's not easy scanning the scenery every minute for an interesting photo. Enjoy your time away, and as Jing said, let us know when you're back!

it's great to "get away" every once in a while ...
will be waiting for your comeback, Kris! :)

Have a nice break. I look forward to hearing from you in the future. You take great photos so keep it up. I can relate to the difficulties of posting everyday. It is hard to stay motivated.

Enjoy a break -- hope you'll come back refreshed.

You did it Kris! You quit the habit! Yes, I know it is a bad joke. But sometimes it feels like some vicious habit and we really need a break. It depends on how seriously we take it, and some of us take it too far away. This has been the year I have slept less hours in my whole life. But let's talk about our dear friend Kris. She has been one of the most committed since the very beginning, the most enthusiastic about daily posting, a wonderful colleague so let's wish her all the best. Don't worry about the City zone, you will eventually return from there. Have a wonderful break!

Oh, what a pity. I hope you have a nice SHORT but complete break and come back soon.

Re. traffic lights, my sister had a friend from way up in the mountains somewhere in Japan; there was one elementary school but for junior high school they had to travel to a near by town. The elementary school ask the police if they could erect a traffic light in the only one intersection in town, and the police said regulation prohibited erecting traffic lights for educational purposes only. So that school has a portable fake one.

Until a Jumbo jet from Osaka to Tokyo (I think) crashed into a nearby mountain. They had to accommodate rescue people and bereaved families, they had enough traffic and they now have lights!!

Hi Kris, I'm sorry to see you go, but I know how it feels to need a break (303 postings and counting - it's hard!) I don't comment very often anymore because of that very problem - but I love your photos and will look forward to seeing what you do post, at whatever frequency!

Hi Kris, thanks for stopping by my blog today. Glad to see you still pop in now and then. Looking forward to your return.

I wish you all the best, Kris! It was a pleasure to get to know, that you are existing :)
You are not content with ordinary photos, you want a good quality, what your photos have been.
Every doing, every moving, every changing has an own time.
Love you, Mimmu

I suspect this was a tough decision for you. Work has been very hectic for me as of late, and I am running with little or no buffer. It use to be that I always had 1-2 weeks of shots ready to go, lately a day or 2 is all I can muster. It will be interesting to see how this work out. I do look forward to seeing you back behind the lens!

Kris, enjoy the break. But don't stay away too long. I've only been looking at your blogs for a short while but have enjoyed them so much!

And I've so enjoyed your visits to my blog.

Thanks so much!

Hi Kris, it's a relief isn't it?
And yes i sometimes see so many nice things that could make a good picture, that it is hard not to get hold of the daily routine anymore, but it really is a relief to me that i can see photography like a nice hobby again and not a MUST.

Kala said...

Hi Kris - strange and sad to think u will not b around! I believe we both started at around the same time? Or maybe u started a little earlier than I but in any case, ur photos are one of those truly artistic and beautiful images.
hope u have a great break and looking forward to your return =)

Kris said...

yes, i'm truly enjoying the break from DP. at the same time miss doing it. Daily is quite a commitment. Hopefully when you are free you'll start DP-ing again, okay?

thanks, Kala. Like I said, I miss reading DP in the morning..i think i'll return 1st march on theme day :)
