Whit Monday

*since I haven't been inside a church in our town, I'm cheating with a shot I took inside St.Stephen Basilica, Budapest*
Today is Whit Monday* which again is something new to me. I understand the day is a holiday in much of Europe. For me, it's just a holiday without any tradition to adhere to except that I was told not to do washing on Sunday and Monday (???). Do you celebrate the day? What's your tradition on this occasion?

*In case you have no idea, Whit Monday is the following Monday after the Pentecost (seven weeks after Easter Sunday) .

I wish it was a holiday - no chance of that! I need to suggest this very important day to our politicians! ;)

Nice shot!

ps You asked to see the tops, and today I'm showing the tops.

It is a holiday just in Barcelona city and not in neighbouring towns. If there is a tradition I ignore it. Your cathedral shot is amazingly good.

Great photo!
About the washing: in Holland we've got that too. Since its a religious celebrating of the coming of the holy spirit in the world after Christ going to heaven on Easter it's like all sundays: no working on the day of the Lord they say out here.
