Despite the photo being rubbish, I am (re)posting 'cos today is International Free Hug Day.
I posted on the same event before but with a different photo here

Best wishes
July 24th was their 5th Anniversary! I have no idea why this photo has been sitting in my archive for this long...
Anyway, that was my first sighting of newly weds on carriage ride and I understand that this is a tradition of the Roma people.

Kyokushin 極真 revisited (3)
A few weeks ago, we walked pass the Shinto Gate and was pleasantly surprised to see this new mural bull (?) & martial artist. Unfortunately, I was without camera at the time.
Then I read that the European championship is to be held on last Satuday April, 16 and of course I have to be there to post the updated memorial here.
Previous entries about this memorial : here & http://szentesdailyphoto.blogspot.com/2006/11/kyokushin-revisited_22.html

#355 - Summer of 2007
Here's a feel of the summer to come. These girls are already creating memories. They'd still remember the time they spent at this spot. On the other hand, hopefully this wooden platform would still be around :) Do you remember your last summer?
Wish you a wonderful weekend!
ps. due to last min. changes to plan, am rushing again -_- read your comments and posts later!

#353 - salute
In this heat, i just don't feel like doing anything (which explains my absence from Blogosphere). Was sitting somewhere shady yesterday waiting for someone, even then i was perspiring! During which I saw couple of guys jogged by..I salute them!

Farewell '07
Do you remember your highschool farewell? Mine was ermm.....ten plus years ago! And nothing as big-of-a-deal as how students celebrate here, which happens today.
Was out to get some perisable in the morning, the streets were buzzling with parents and relatives escoting their sons/daughters with bouquets in hand. You can tell how proud and what a happy day it was for them.
The photo - I think they are no year book, instead each graduating class designs a board which is displayed on shop windows around town. This is my fave design.

The side walk racer, no more?
The Sidewalk Racer
-- By Lillian Morrison
Skimming
an asphalt sea
I swerve, I curve, Isway; I speed to
whirring sound an inch above the ground;
I'm the sailor and the sail,
I'm the driver arid the wheel
I'm the one and only
single engine
human auto
mobile.

The small things in life
I woke up to find the above comment for this photo on my flickr page, I think the quote suited the shot perfectly. Don't you think?
Its nice being "philosophical" and all but I must get back to the topic for today ;) This man, me and many others rely on the local buses to get around town. For that, me and on behalf of others are thankful that our local bus system (4 lines altogether) run efficiently bring us to our local destinations within 18 minutes.

The daily question
The man in the photo found a solution :- get his lunch catered. All he needs to do is pick up his lunch (in food carrier) at the restaurant/caterer. A meal of soup and main dish cost about 2 Euros..convenient and economical.
Alternatively, like our clever neighbour who simply copies the daily menu (displayed outside restaurant) and cook it herself at home ;)
What about you?

Season to be married
Spring-summer, let the wedding season begins! To lend a helping hands to brides to-be, the county hall organised a first-ever bridal fair recently. Bridal fashion, accessories, anything wedding related all in one place..It was, of couse, a good chance for the county hall to market itself as a desired wedding location. After all, wedding business can be lucrative ;) I think the future bride may walk away even more confuse with so many choices :p
The couple (isn't that gown gorgeous?) you see above was a real couple getting registered on the day of the fair, witnessed by all visitors of the fair. Me, I had fun playing shadow wedding photographer, even if it was for few seconds..

Saying good bye to winter 2007
That wasn't the end of the karnevál, next was back to the auditorium where rock band Zanzibar is awaiting to perform. Me, of course I'm happy to go back to my couch :)
*reflection effect was done with dumpr.net which i'm addicted!

People, revisited
Was waiting outside the library and this industrious woman cleaning her balcony caught my attention. In my mind I thought what is she doing outside in this windy weather, it was VERY chilly. Then, I recognised that she was the exact woman I featured in this blog a year ago (Link) ! How nice to see her again :)
*the stripes on the wall were weak shadow which i enchanced with photofilter.

The news is in
"I had kept the gender of the baby a secret from the rest of the family. But everyone has already guessed that it would be a boy as my stomach was pointy and turns out they were spot-on!"
Happy birthday, Csanád!
.
ps. Someone commented in NYDP (Ming's) that s/he feels "creepy" about taking photos of children discreetly especially without their parents. Which prompte me to ask the moral question. Perhaps I should ask for permission in the future; however, it would means no more candid shots, hmm..what do you guys think?
