People 3

Rehearsal for the up coming May 1st parade was going on for 2 hours yesterday evening. Naturally, a lot of people were watching the preparation on the streets. Me, I'm happy to get a stolen shot of this girl indulging in her cotton candy. Was wondering where she got it ? Miss the sweet stuff !

More about the actual parade on May 2nd :)

I can't believe its almost may already! It seems like it was just New Years. I just noticed you have a clock on your site - so that means Hungary is either 12 hours ahead or 12 hours behind of us here since its 8:54 PM Hawaii time and you have AM on the site! Ah, I just realized, you must be ahead since Hawaii is one of the last to celebrate new years and I believe Sweden is 11 hours ahead.

Paris : was thinking about the same, nearly half a year has past. Too fast !! Yes, we are ahead of Hawaiii . Thats why the clock for..easier for others to know the time here :)

When I see some kid eating this I always look for the place where he bought it! I can't resist buying one for me too.. In Portugal we call it "sweet cotton" hmmm..

I used to really like cotton candy when I was a child. I haven't had any in a really long time. I wonder if my daughter would like it. She hates being sticky and knowing her she would end up a sticky mess. =)

the matching colours on her t-shirt and cotton cady are great - good capture

Here in the Uk we call it candy floss - which I think is such a better name for it -

I love that stuff - every time the fairground comes to town - I always nip down to grab a bag of it - they dont sell it on sticks anymore for health and safety reasons - how stupid is that - its not quite the same it a bag. Damn government and their stupid stupid laws - concentrate on teh something else and leave the candy floss vendor alone -

Glad to see you still sell it on sticks - hoorah

Great colors Kris, I wish I had the ability to photograph people but I don´t have the nerve. This girls looks great and totally concentrated. I like the absentminded look. I had suggested your link today before coming here to thank you for being my only visitor yesterday, well in fact there were two. I wish I could visit all of you but this takes too long, now it is 1:50 am and I am still here. Keep up the good work!

Adam : i never liked those in a bag either. The traditional one is fresh ,and well , just brings back the childhood meeories :)

Carlos : know what you mean! I find it hard to catch up as well. My method is to check each blog on alternate days. So sometimes you see me,sometimes you dont :)

Thank you all for your comments :)

Cotton candy is named by us "Barbe à papa". This means "Daddy's Bart". A nice shot.
